Let's take a ride up to the "Santis" shall we?

You can hike up this mountain. . .but modern technology is the way to go:)
You can't even see the top of the mountain from the bottom!
Lift off!!!!

It's like the Swiss version of a roller coaster.

yeah hike up that. hence the beauty of modern technology.
almost there. . .
And this is why people say Switzerland is the most beautiful country in the world.
Now at this part I felt like I was at a space station. Especially when you look up. . .
But sadly it does not shoot into space. Only something for tv
People used to live in that house and record the weather and everything. In the 20's the couple that lived there were murdered and they never found out why, creepy I thought.
Believe it or not I am actually starting to like the cheese. Goodbye Kraft singles :(
Snow in September. . .from LAST year.
Thank you for riding up the Santis. Please exit carefully and that will be fifty franks :)
On your way out don't forget to stop at the cheese factory!

  2. LOL!!!!!!! OMG....I so almost fell for the cut out pics...thought you were celebrating Octoberfest a little early...LOL!! Excuse: still dizzy for heights of previous pics!!! LOL! As added education on the Santis...they use it to take Saints up in the mountains to train in the snow to find people for competition in months when there is no snow at lower elevation. "Greer" told me she saw this on a St. Bernard special...lol...

  3. I can't believe you went up that thing - so funny, I remember when you were in 5th grade and you flipped out on the ferris wheel at Celebration City because it went too high!

  4. My hands sweat just looking at these pics! Wow, you were high. You should try and rent this movie called North Face. It's a German film with (English subtitles). It's a true story. In 1936, German climbers Toni Kurz and Andreas Hinterstoisser attempted to be the first team to scale the infamous north face of the Eiger in the Swiss Alps. It was really good. ~ Alicia
